The National Committee for the Coordination of Measures to Combat and Prevent Human Trafficking received, on Wednesday August 17, in Rabat, the Deputy Director of the Office of Monitoring and Combating Human Trafficking in the United States of America, Brian Marcus.

A press release from the National Committee for the Coordination of Measures to Combat Human Trafficking and Prevention indicates that, under the authority of the Minister of Justice, Hicham Mallati, Director of Criminal Affairs and Amnesty, in his capacity as Chief of the National Committee, received Brian Marcus, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice, accompanied by a high-level delegation from the same office and from the United States Consulate in Casablanca.

The communication adds that this meeting was devoted to presenting the Moroccan experience in the field of the fight and prevention of human trafficking through the National Committee and the national efforts that have been made to combat and prevent this crime. , noting that the outline of the observations contained in the last annual report published by the United States Bureau of Monitoring and Combating Human Trafficking, in addition to discussing future means of cooperation and coordination between the two institutions.

The same source indicated that the United States Office to Monitor and Combat Human Trafficking is an agency of the United States Department of State responsible for investigating and developing programs to prevent human trafficking, which whether in the United States or abroad, and that the Office also publishes annual reports on human trafficking in the United States and other countries aimed at raising awareness of this phenomenon.
