Twenty-two young male and female journalists from various African countries participated in Cairo, capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the activities of the training course for young African journalists.

   This session saw workshops and interventions by media colleagues and colleagues from all African countries, which witnessed the participation of twenty-two African countries, after a two-year hiatus due to the spread of the Corona pandemic,  and among the media presenters, « Mohamed Ed Mansour », publishing director of Sawtakom, representative of the National Union of the Moroccan Press. The first week of this session saw the organization of several seminars, most centered around the African continent, the free trade agreement between its countries, and the empowerment of women and young people in Africa to participate in sustainable development. . On the many problems plaguing the African continent, with regard to food security, poverty, unemployment, the spread of disease, epidemics and gross violations of human rights.

This session also highlighted, through its work program, the discussion of issues of concern to all the countries of the continent in order to reach common solutions, to which are added the issues of climate, desertification and  illegal immigration, as well as the free trade agreement between African countries, which is the dream awaited by all the inhabitants of the continent. Several issues were also discussed, among which the empowerment of women and young people in the countries of the continent and the  food security, especially in light of the Corona pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war, when a third of the continent’s population suffers from food poverty.
